documenta - laboratory for anthropology of the State, regulation and public policies is a space for the collective production of knowledge and student training that brings together researchers interested in the ethnographic understanding of the State, regulatory practices and public policies. Based at the Institute of Philosophy and Social Sciences (IFCS) of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), Brazil, the laboratory focuses on the study of different governmental forms. The research projects foreground the meanings, practices and relations that constitute modes of regulation, bureaucratic spaces and formal and informal orderings of social life.
